Will washing my hair every day dry it out!?
FALSE! Dry hair doesn't have to do with how many time you wash it, but with what sort of shampoo you are using. If you're using a shampoo designed for a different texture than your hair you may find your hair too dry or too greasy. The best thing to do is to ask your stylist which shampoo is best for your hair type!
Should I was my hair every day?
FALSE! There is no "correct" schedule for washing hair. How often you wash your hair depends on your hair type. People with fine hair that is prone to getting greasy should wash their hair more often than people with dry or damaged hair.
If I wear my hair in a tight ponytail every day will it increase my chance of baldness?
TRUE! Traction alopecia is a very real hair loss condition that may result from wearing tight ponytails, cornrows or buns over an extended period of time.
If I buy a drugstore product will it be the same as buying a product from my salon?
FALSE! While there is exceptions to every rule, generally salon products are manufactured to contain higher quality ingredients. Drugstore products are cheaper because they use less quality products. The quality ingredients found in salon products are rarely used in the cheaper drugstore versions. The best way to find the product that works best for you is to ask your stylist what they used in your hair during your blow dry!
